The final shop
This documentary focuses on the town of Highland Park New Jersey, the eccentric residents of it, and their one and only grocery store — which is going out of business.
My vision for this documentary was to capture both the essence of the town and the grocery store. I wanted them to feel like equals that could never part, so that when the store closed its’ doors for good the audience would feel the shockwaves just like the community would.
